Meet the Barber

Raised in Southern California, Matt has been behind the chair for over 16 years, building his craft and creating meaningful connections along the way.

After a decade of living in San Juan Capistrano with his wife and daughter, he opened Los Amigos Barbershop with a simple vision: to create a welcoming space where everyone feels at home.

Inspired by the spirit of community, the culture of Baja, and the traditions of classic barbering, he believes a barbershop is about more than a haircut. It’s a place to slow down, share stories, and leave feeling connected.

When he’s not in the shop, you’ll likely find him in Baja where he dedicates time to supporting local youth through the nonprofit he founded. Whether he’s giving back, spending time with family, or catching up with clients who have become friends, community is at the center of everything he does.

At Los Amigos, everyone is welcome, and every person who walks through the door is treated like a true amigo.
